RECENT WILDLIFE CONTROL SERVICES IN NEW BALTIMORE, MI | BAT EVICTION

Bats hanging from siding

We do a lot of work in the New Baltimore area. 90 percent of the calls that come in are for a bat in the house or bats in the attic. Our most recent job wasn't any different. Homeowner called because they new they had bats living above their ceiling in their bedroom. Like most of the homes in New Baltimore, this was a gable style home. This home had several roof returns and a ridge vent that was open to the attic.

Two of the most common entry points for a bat is through the ridge vent or roof return. 99 out of 100 times it isn't sealed to keep bats out by the roofer. This home wasn't any different. We found several access points into the attic. All of the roof returns were sealed by solar seal and backed with galvanized hardware cloth and xcluder fabric. All ridge vents were securely fastened with ridge guard, which will protect the life of the ridge vent. Of course we couldn't trap the bats in so we installed a one way bat door to evict the bats.
